Revised Mask Wearing Guidance October 2022

Since the schools went back in September Covid numbers are on the rise again and a lot of patients are coughing. Over the summer we have had a lot of staff sickness at Riverside with Covid. Our staff are unable to come to work if they are testing positive for Covid. Clinical staff are unable to see patients.

In order to protect patients and staff we need to continue to advise all patients to wear a mask inside the surgery building.

Patients who test positive or suspect they may have COVID-19 must not attend for an appointment. This is anyone with a temperature, new continuous cough and/or loss of taste and smell.

Any patient unable or unwilling to wear a mask will be asked to wait outside the surgery. Someone not wearing a mask will only be seen at the discretion of the relevant clinician. We reserve the right not to see anyone who will not or is not able to wear a mask.
