Repeat prescriptions

When ordering your repeat prescription, please allow 5 working days and we ask that you request these in writing or by the following methods:

By email – you can email riverside.prescription@nhs.net. Please state the name, dose, quantity of medication required and provide your name, address and date of birth and where you would like the medication to be sent.

Online – register here for this service.

By hand – you can either hand the request slip at reception or put it in the repeat prescription box at reception.

Post – post it to us enclosing a stamped addressed envelope.

From 1 August 2018 prescription ordering changed. This means prescriptions should be ordered online, via. email, by hand or post. For patients with certain medical conditions or exceptional circumstances e.g. housebound with no other relatives or next or kin to order on their behalf or needing dosette boxes etc, pharmacies will still be able to order on your behalf. Please check with your pharmacy first for eligibility and availability. For further information on this please click on the following link: Patient Letter Changes to Ordering Repeat Medication 280618.

Unfortunately we are unable to process any prescription requests over the telephone.

Medication reviews

We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment. Please ring to speak to a GP to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Please allow 5 full working days for your prescription to be processed
